买东西, 吃东西

买东西, 吃东西, 买东西, 吃东西

香港 - 发现另一个自己
你也来体验一下吧

us at the Spore Airport!
super early flight.. 640am take off!

upon arrival at Hong Kong.
busy streets full of fast paced ppl

our first yum cha session
that is the first round of food!
and the dim sum there is cheaper than those in SG!

our hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui - 尖沙咀

our room!
4D anyone? 1109!

next..
Smelly Tofu & Curry Fishball aka 鱼蛋 my fave!
plus Taiwan Bubbletea!

the complicated MRT system map
they call it MTR over there
and the english names of the places are direct translation of how it sounds like in Cantonese
eg. 天后 = Tin Hau, 油麻地 = Yau Ma Tei
haha!

off to Ladies Market - 女人街
there's alot of hype over it as a tourist-must-go place
but i personally dun think its that exciting as a shopping spot
i prefer Flower Street! (coming soon)

Day Two morning!
Our SG President has a street in HK!
ok lame shit
our breakfast!
the famous maggi mee known as 公仔面
and notice the 2 cups of tea there?
the waiter served it once we sat down
and i started drinking it, thinking it was normal tea
only after that then aaron told me that the ppl there usually use the tea to wash their utensils
*faints everyone

here's 金鱼街 & 花园街
most of their streets are really named after what is sold there
at 金鱼街, the whole street sells fish n aquarium stuff!
but ironically, i din see flowers at 花园街
and i like to shop at 花园街! nice nice!

Mister Softee at 花园街

later at night
met his uncle for dinner
10 course meet at a restaurant!
look at that pig head!
there are still 3 dishes which i din take photos of
coz i was too full to eat them or to take photos! hahah

Day Three - 黄大仙 temple
took pictures with Lao Fu Zi and Da Fan Shu!

No Dogs Allowed.. babies on leash counted? ahhas

not many pics at the temple coz phototaking is prohibited
i like those 2 pics! first, sweet pic of uncle & niece
next, take a BIG BITE!

off to take the Electric Tram 电车 to Aberdeen Fishing Village
it's cool! one of the 'tourist attractions' in HK
a form of transport other than bus, train, taxi, and Little Bus 小巴
see how small the space is..
you board from the rear of the bus, and you pay when you alight at the front
the fare is the same (one price) regardless of the distance travelled

and im eating once again!
waffle-like 鸡蛋仔
aaron's fave since young

at Aberdeen Fishing Village!
it's his first time there too
the scenery and sea breeze is so nice!
if you've realized, i like to take pictures of clouds.. ahahs

see! super nice pic of the clouds and scenery right! =)

here we are
on board the little sampan boat
the nice aunty gave us a tour of this whole area
Jumbo Seafood Floating Restaurant!
quite impressive right?
the whole area had a mix of the old and the new
old would mean old wooden boats with plastic / canvas covers
in which people used to live in
new means impressive and expensive well-kept yachts
see that black-white yacht at the bottom right of the pic?
that's Andy Lau's yacht!

see the old and run down main pic?
its the back of the impressive Jumbo Floating restaurant =S

to our next destination
Symphony of Lights at Avenue of Stars!
the wind there is super strong and cold
coupled with my "impressive" phototaking skills
all pics came out blurry!

the Symphony of Lights performance is oso a tourist attraction:
It is a spectacular multimedia display, already name the 'World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound show" by Guinness World Records, has been further expanded to include more than 40 buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour.
The show creates an all-round vision of coloured lights, laser beams and searchlights performing a stunning, unforgettable spectacle synchronised to music and narration that celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong.

anyone who goes to the Avenue of Stars would have to do this right?
squat down on the floor, stick one palm on the celeb's handprint
and take a photo! hahas

at a 茶餐厅 near the harbour
烧鹅!!!! <333

Day Four - Yum Cha session again!
see how exquisite their dim sum are

here's the beach at 浅水湾
i din expect his uncle to send us there actually
but the scenery and air is so good there!
and a funny thing is that..
the pigeons there are all lying flat on the sand!
weird right?

the temple over there
there's a plaque on the bridge saying your day will be prolonged 3 days each time you cross that bridge
and i crossed it twice! 6 days! ahhaha

and the Matrimony god
see all the red threads / strings there?
ppl really do tie red strings around to hope for a couple's successful blissful marriage

next stop - Stanley Market & Water Sports Centre
it's freezing cold there.. around 10 deg of sth
i wonder how these ppl still manage to go wind surfing?!

here we are at THE PEAK! =)
where we are a head above the rest
it is so cold and windy
and guess what.. we 2 silly heads are eating ice cream then!
but unfortunately, visibility wasnt too good that day

PICTURE OF THE DAY: UNGLAM

took the Peak Tram back to ground level
and interestingly, the tram moves backwards!
so its like you're descending back down.. weird feeling.. ahha

That's all for today folks
super tired!
next post will be part 2 - on HK Disneyland and Macau!

ah im so sick of school
sick of work
can i just get by slacking everyday?
